Here we clean a house more often than a flat
Boyana sits about 7 kilometres south of the centre, on the slope below Vitosha, in the Vitosha district. A large part of the addresses here are houses with a yard rather than flats in a block. That changes the arithmetic: the time depends on the floor area and the number of levels, not on the number of rooms. A hundred square metres over three floors take longer than a hundred on one, because the equipment and the bucket go up and down with you.

Planning a house like a flat
In a house on two or more levels the stairs take time, and one person with a bucket between floors works at half speed. On two levels or more we come as a pair and split the floors, instead of moving equipment up and down all day.
Sweeping building dust
Dust from a refit, or from a site nearby, is very fine. A dry broom lifts it back into the air and it settles again on what you have just cleaned. Vacuum with a filter, then wipe wet, and usually a second pass a day or two later, once the rest has settled.
Mud and gravel from the yard
Mud, leaves and small gravel get carried to the door and onto the first few steps. Gravel is the worst of the three, because it grinds into the floor and dulls it. A mat on both sides of the door, and cleaning the entrance area more often than the rest, saves a lot of work further inside.
Scrubbing with an abrasive sponge
Sofia water is soft, around 2 dH on average according to Sofiyska Voda, and Boyana is fed from the Rila water main. The deposit on the taps is thin. Let an acidic product sit for a few minutes and wipe it off. An abrasive sponge takes the deposit off, but leaves dull marks on the chrome that never come back.

Is there anywhere to park?
Usually yes, in front of the house or in the yard if you open the gate for us. If the street is narrow, or there is building work nearby, tell us in advance and we will allow time for carrying the equipment rather than take it out of the cleaning.
How do you get the equipment up without a lift?
By hand. The vacuum, the buckets and the products go up the stairs, which is part of the job in a house. On two or three levels we come as a pair, so nobody walks the same staircase ten times over.
Do I have to be at home while you clean?
Not necessarily. Many clients leave us a key or the gate code, and every visit is logged with a time in and a time out. If you have a dog in the yard, tell us how to come in.
What time do you come, and what will the neighbours hear?
We agree the day and the time in advance, because the team travels by van. The only loud part is the vacuuming, and that is only part of the visit. If your building has quiet hours in its house rules, tell us and we will work around them.
What does cleaning a house cost?
The hourly rate starts at 13 €/hour, with products, equipment and transport included, and the minimum is 3 hours. For a flat up to 90 sq.m the guide price is from 46 €. For a house over 150 sq.m we quote after a survey, because the levels and the condition matter more than the floor area.
Do you clean after a refit or before moving into a new home?
Yes, but that is a deep clean, not a regular one. Building dust, adhesive residue and protective film need different time and a different order of work, so tell us when you book.
