Upholstery & carpet cleaning
Professional extraction cleaning of sofas, mattresses, chairs and carpets, at your home.

A vacuum lifts a fraction of what is actually inside
A sofa in daily use holds between 2 and 4 kilograms of dust, skin particles, hair and food residue each year. A vacuum lifts the surface layer. The rest settles deep into the filling and becomes a feeding ground for dust mites, the main reason allergy sufferers wake up congested.
Extraction works differently: the product is injected into the fabric under pressure and drawn straight back out along with the soiling. The water that comes out is visible, and it is usually the thing that convinces clients the service was worth it.
Everything is done at your home. Nothing needs transporting, and the furniture is left slightly damp rather than wet.
- Done on site, no transport, no waiting days
- Patch test on a hidden area before we start
- Stains pre-treated according to their origin
- Odours neutralised, including from pets
- Accelerated drying with ventilation

How the clean runs
Inspection and patch test
We check the label and test the product somewhere hidden, on the back of a cover or under a cushion. Some fabrics with a high viscose content do not tolerate wetting, and that has to be established before, not during.
Deep vacuuming
With a turbo head, before any water. Wetting dry fabric full of dust turns that dust into mud, which then has to be extracted.
Stain treatment
Each stain is treated according to its origin. Greasy, protein and tannin stains need different products. This is where the final result is decided.
Extraction
The product is injected under pressure and immediately drawn back. We work in overlapping passes so no area is left untreated and no tide marks form.
Drying and handover
Residual moisture extracted and drying accelerated with ventilation. We show you the collected water, usually the most convincing part of the visit.
Prices by item
Cleaning is priced per item rather than by time. Booking several items brings the price down.
| Item | Time | Drying | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Two-seat sofa | 45–60 min | 4–6 hours | from €20 |
| Three-seat sofa | 60–80 min | 5–7 hours | from €31 |
| Corner sofa | 90–120 min | 6–8 hours | from €46 |
| Armchair | 20–30 min | 3–5 hours | from €13 |
| Dining chair | 10 min | 2–4 hours | from €5 |
| Mattress, both sides | 40–50 min | 5–7 hours | from €23 |
| Carpet, per m² | — | 6–10 hours | from €4/m² |
Prices include products, equipment and travel within Sofia. Bookings over €77, or combined with a deep clean, are discounted.
Why on site rather than at a workshop
The furniture never leaves
No dismantling, no transport, no week without a sofa. We finish within a single visit.
Products without heavy fragrance
Fabric holds fragrance for days. So we use products that neutralise odour rather than masking it with perfume.
Tested before the work
Always somewhere hidden. If the fabric will not tolerate extraction, we tell you and decline the risk with your furniture.
An honest forecast on stains
Before we start we tell you what we expect to lift and what we do not. Better disappointment before the work than after payment.
Slightly damp, not wet
Proper extraction removes almost all the water. The sofa is usable after 4 to 8 hours, not the following day.
A professional machine
The difference from a hired domestic unit is suction power, and that determines how much of the water and dirt actually comes back out.
For allergy sufferers, what to realistically expect
Extraction removes a significant proportion of the mites and allergens accumulated in the depth of the filling, and most clients with allergies report a difference within a week. But mites return. That is normal, not a failure of the service.
For a lasting effect, cleaning the mattress every 6 to 12 months works better than one treatment, however well it is done.
The sofa after extraction
The same sofa, before and after professional cleaning.

Worth knowing
How often it is worth doing
For a sofa in daily use, once a year is the sensible interval. With pets or small children, every 6 to 8 months. Mattresses need treating every 6 to 12 months regardless of how clean the sheet looks.
Cleaning is not purely cosmetic. Postponing it for years fixes the soiling into the filling, from where it no longer lifts completely even with professional extraction.
What to do with a fresh stain
- Blot, never rub, rubbing drives the stain deeper into the fabric
- Work from the outside in, so you do not spread it
- Use a white cloth so no dye transfers onto the furniture
- Do not pour household remedies on at random, vinegar and bicarbonate fix some stains permanently
- For red wine and blood, cold water only, never warm
- Call the same day, a fresh stain almost always lifts
Why a sofa is left with tide marks
Visible rings along the edge of where it dried mean the cleaning was superficial and the dirt was pushed sideways rather than extracted. This happens with weak equipment or with passes that do not overlap. Proper extraction treats the whole panel to the seam, not just the visibly stained patch.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the sofa take to dry?
Usually 4 to 8 hours depending on the fabric and ventilation. We leave the furniture slightly damp, not wet. With good airflow it is usable the same evening.
Will every stain come out?
Most will. Old ink, hair dye or bleach marks may be permanent. We tell you honestly at the inspection what to realistically expect.
Is it safe for allergy sufferers?
Yes. Extraction removes a significant proportion of mites and allergens, and the products are free from strong fragrances. For a lasting effect it needs repeating every 6–12 months.
Can a leather sofa be cleaned?
Leather is not cleaned by extraction. For leather we clean and condition with an appropriate product, a different service which we also offer.
Do I need to move the sofa?
No. We work in place and create the access we need. About a metre of clear space around the furniture is enough.
Will there be a smell afterwards?
There is a faint damp smell while the fabric dries, which disappears completely once dry. If you are sensitive to it, book a day when you can ventilate well.
Can it be combined with a deep clean?
Yes, and it makes sense. Upholstery is cleaned after the deep clean so dust does not settle on damp fabric. Booking both is discounted.
